Activity #2: Basic editing

These instructions assume you are logged into the Health Sciences Drupal Training website. After completing these edits, your page will look closer to the “Dogs - Final Version” page.

Add Headings

  1. Navigate to your training page
  2. Click on the Edit tab Screenshot
  3. In the body field, highlight the words “web team dogs”
  4. From the headings drop-down menu, select Heading 2 Screenshot
  5. Repeat this process of highlighting words and adding the heading style from the headings drop-down:
    1. Web team dogs [Heading 2]
    2. Dog biology [Heading 2]
      1. Anatomy [Heading 3]
        1. Senses [Heading 4]
          1. Vision [Heading 5]
          2. Hearing [Heading 5]
          3. Smell [Heading 5]
          4. Taste [Heading 5]
          5. Touch [Heading 5]
    3. Qualities of a dog [Heading 2]
    4. Roles of dogs in society [Heading 2]
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”

Add Bullets

  1. Click on the Edit tab
  2. Select the text between Qualities of a dog and Roles of dogs in society with your cursor
  3. Click on the “Insert/Remove Bulleted List” button in the toolbar Screenshot
  4. Highlight the first word of every bullet and add the bold style Screenshot
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
  6. Click on View Tab

Add Intro Style

  1. Click on the Edit tab
  2. Select the first sentence with your cursor: “Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, pulling loads, protection, assisting police and military, companionship, and assisting individuals with disabilities or groups of people in educational and healthcare settings.”
  3. Select Intro Text Style from the styles drop-down in the toolbar Screenshot
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
  5. Click on View Tab
