Activity #5 Making an edit in an existing pane
These instructions assume you are logged into the Health Sciences Drupal Training website. After completing these edits, your page will look closer to the “Dogs - Final Version” page.
Overview of Panes
You may have noticed that within the Edit Tab, the Assistance, Hunting, and Herding content at the bottom of the page is missing. The reason for this is that the copy is not in the body pane. When the page was created, new panes of content were created. You will learn how to add a pane in a later activity.
- Navigate to your training page
- Click on the Customize Display tab [Screenshot]
- Click on Content
- Click on the gear in the upper right corner of the Hunting Dogs pane [Screenshot]
- Click on Edit
- Within the area that says “Content settings,” click into the WYSIWYG box to make an edit
- Add “Learn more about hunting dogs” (without the quotation marks)
- Highlight Learn more about hunting dogs
- Click on the Insert Link button
- Add https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunting_dog to the Link URL field
- Click Save in the middle of the screen
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
