Activity #9: Changing Page Layouts & Moving Panes

These instructions assume you are logged into the Health Sciences Drupal Training website. After completing these edits, your page will look closer to the “Dogs - Final Version” page.

For this activity, you will use the copy from the Top 10 Dog Breeds document.

1. Navigate to your training page
2. Click on the Customize Display tab [Screenshot]
3. Click on Layouts [Screenshot with layout circled]
4. Click on 3 Column [Screenshot with 3 Column circled]
5. Click Continue
6. Click Save (this screen is basically a confirmation page)
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
8. Click on View Tab

Empty Panel

1. Click on View Tab to look at your page when a 3 Column layout is used with no content in one of the panes

Moving a Pane

Because there is no content in the Right Side column,  you need to move a pane of content into that panel.

1. Hover your cursor over Top 10 Dog Breeds in Middle Column 3
2. Drag and Drop Top 10 Dog Breeds Pane into the Right Side column
1. NOTE: If you abandon the page at this point, your changes will not be saved
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
4. Click on View Tab
